Bali’s Suara Music & Arts Festival taps Manifest as its APAC comms AOR for 2024

Do What You Love, the creative agency behind Bali’s idyllic Suara Festival (July 26-28), has appointed global brand communications agency Manifest as its communications agency of record, tasked with managing and executing all public relations services across Asia Pacific. As lead agency, Manifest’s Melbourne studio is tapping into its extensive ‘Cartel’ global network of agency partners and freelancers to oversee publicity efforts across the region in the event’s key markets: Australia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China, India and Singapore.

Set to the backdrop of Bali’s jungles, forest, rivers and sunset views over the Indian Ocean, Suara Music and Arts Festival is a highly curated and multi-genre festival experience with beloved Aussie folk legends Angus & Julia Stone headlining this year’s edition.

Taking place just 15 minutes from Canggu at the brand-new facilities at Nuanu City, the venue is a visionary creative hub perched on towering cliffs where the jungle meets the sea. Spotlighting the country’s rich cultural heritage, the one-of-a-kind festival will be a visual and sensory spectacle with a diverse range of sounds and flavours on offer both local and global. Bringing together some of the world’s most sought-after international alongside the region’s rising stars, this will be the festival’s most sophisticated instalment to date at a site unlike anything Bali has ever seen.

Manifest’s Melbourne Studio Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Isabel Thomson-Officer said:

“Bespoke events and cultural experiences of this scale and meticulous attention to detail that the Do What You Love team is producing are rare – especially in this part of the world.
Aside from the quality of its bookings, the incredible venue, and everything else that is on offer, it was the team’s commitment to creating a culture that was both respectful of the local people and the environment that really stood out to us. A festival of this nature can be quite transformative, even life changing for those that attend. Being able to make that kind of positive impact on someone’s life is very aligned with our mission to build brands that change the world.”

With industry pioneer Jason Swamy at the helm as Co-Founder and Festival Director, the visionary creative brings with him a vast swath of experience across music, art, tech, culture and creativity. Having held leadership positions at Burning Man’s Robot Heart and Wonderfruit, as well as his current advisory roles with Gigwell and Kyozo alongside his co-founder title at Bassline, a cloud-based SAAS data integration platform for events, Swamy has spent the last 25 years creating global nightlife and event experiences that sit at the forefront of the cultural zeitgeist.

As the festival looks to bring culture, sustainability, creativity and connectivity to the fore amongst a global audience, Swamy said he knew Manifest was the right agency to partner with.

“We want people who attend Suara to leave feeling inspired, and like they’ve connected to a creative community of like minded individuals, and that’s exactly how we felt when we first met the Manifest team,”

he said.

“Like us, they are a very international team who are as passionate about purpose-driven brand communications as we are about curating once in a lifetime experiences.”

Having recently announced its phase two lineup with Australia’s Angus & Julia Stone as headliners, the forward thinking lineup features a number of acts making their Bali debuts as well as a mix of international, regional and local acts including HVOB (live), LP Giobbi, Brandt Brauer Frick, Deer Jade, Geju, Lastlings, Mansionair, Neil Frances, Ramengvrl, Rodrigeuz Jr. (live), Sainte Vie (live), Youngr, Yung Raja, and many more artists and collectives. Taking place during the opening weekend of Nuanu City – from sun kissed days to starlit nights, Suara will be soundtracked by some of the world’s most in demand indie acts at a festival utopia like no other place on Earth.
